About the Gender Justice Research Community
The Gender Justice Research Community is an initiative of the Women and Gender Studies Program at George Mason University. Comprised of faculty and graduate students, the group is an outgrowth of a Women and Gender Studies’ Faculty Development Day on Globalization in March 2005. The research community welcomes all interested people, and our informal meetings include presentations of research and creative works in-progress, discussions of selected readings, and presentations by members of the research community. The group usually meets monthly in the Women’s Center, and the membership is fluid from semester to semester. The Gender Justice Research Community provides a vital intellectual opportunity for exchange of ideas, feedback, collaboration, and camaraderie for faculty and graduate students.
